January Consumer Report

I just got the new CR. Our beloved FJC didn't fare too well. It got low results in visability, ride handling, noise, fuel economy, fit and finish, premium fuel, and access. In the end it was ranked below the Jeep Liberty Sport[v6], the Kia Sorrento LX, and way behind the XTerra S. The only positive things said about it were off-road ability, styling, powertrain, and reliability.

Needless to say: I LOVE MY FJC!!! No matter what others say about it, I AM A PROUD OWNER!!!

Thats good enough for me! Also- I would have to argue that even the on-roadability and utility is way better than anything in its class-.

CR likes beige Camrys and wishes the Prius came in beige.

In short, they're no fun.

If they encounter a vehicle with 'soul' they damn it.

I say this as a many-year member of CU.

I agree. We've been members for years. Some of the stuff they highly recommend is of dubious quality. We have this dishwasher that came with glowing recommendations, quietness being one. Well, when this thing is running you would think a cement mixer is pouring 8 yards in the kitchen.Just incredible.

Fit and finish?? In what way?

At any rate, CR is about the last place I would go for advice on trucks. Refrigerators, maybe.

Re: January Consumer Report

CR is flawed and their testing methods are highly suspect. Anyone who can base quality and reliability studies off one sample is just guessing. I used to read CR but, after a few issues learned what they do is no better than my own trial and comparison. Save your money and do your own purchasing research.

Good. Maybe this will keep the typical, boring, uneducated car-buyer from jumping on the FJ bandwagon. Let them drive a Liberty or a Kia.

The Prius does come in beige. I almost bought one before I bought the white one.

Re: January Consumer Report

I cancelled my subscription to CR months ago because of their dim witted views.
