CNBC Reviews the FJ

CNBC had an auto writer from Detroit do a test drive with the FJ. He gave it a very luke warm review.

In the video he drove it around through some trees on leaf covered flat ground; his idea of off road. He denegrated the visibility and gave it average grades for its interior and design. He really ranked on the fuel economy and seemed to want to blame it on the automatic 4 speed transmission. Guess he would be shocked to know there is a 5th gear.

The same guy reviewed the M3 BMW Sportster and a Saturn Sedan and gave them glowing reviews.

Maybe I am missing something but the FJ is a very good highway vehicle and from all accounts it is a real monster off road.

So much for expert opinions.

Re: CNBC Reviews the FJ

I thought the review was decent. He did say it was the most interesting Toyota product in 20 years. And he looked genuinely happy driving around.

The only negatives were the premium gas and visibility. We know the first to be a myth and the second to be no big deal.
