Re: New Consumer Reports: FJ got a PERFECT score

I don't care how they rate it anyway, I drove it and liked the way it felt and I like my view of the road, and I am a taller guy and I enjoy having seats that adjust so my head doesn't hit the ceiling.

Re: New Consumer Reports: FJ got a PERFECT score

They (Consumer Reports) did much the same thing with the Mini Cooper. High customer satisfaction, all (Or most) the circles half-red or full-red, and yet they continue to "Not recommend" it because of "low reliability." My daughter has a Mini, and it is fun, fairly zippy, handles very nicely, gets 33-36 MPG and cost her less than many higher-rated but much more boring cars. Sometimes CR just doesn't believe their own data...but like many said previously; I really don't care what anyone else says about it, I love my FJ and believe it to be one of the best values per dollar on the market!

Maybe it's good that CR doesn't recommend it. Too many FJC's running around would pi$$ me off! Rather have real enthusiasts owning them than every soccer mom/dad.

Re: New Consumer Reports: FJ got a PERFECT score

CR is full of ****. Weren't they the ones that failed 100% of the child safety seats because they tested side impact worthiness at 65mph instead of 35...ops..sorry our mistake? I bet a lot of parents were freaking out after hearing that the seat that they paid $$$$ for was worthless in an accident. Well I have to give them credit, they did correct their mistake a week later.

My son has a Recaro kids seat which wasn't even in the comparison eventhough Recaro makes racing seats for any race application and has safety up the ying yang built in.

and lastely, comparing the FJ to a Lexus 330.. that's just plain funny...

ok ranting over!

Re: New Consumer Reports: FJ got a PERFECT score

First of we all know that we LOVE our FJ’s, we don’t need some pin head sitting behind a desk writing an article about a vehicle that they them selves wouldn’t own. They are probably driving a BMW or an Escalade, etc. The FJ is an outstanding off road vehicle, I didn’t by mine because it was the best handling road vehicle. I take what they say with a grain of salt. I say SCORE This !
