Toyota Releases 2013 Pricing For FJ Cruiser and Four Other Truck Models

Toyota has just released the pricing for the 2013 Highlander, 4Runner, Sequoia, Tundra and FJ Cruiser. Along with the prices are some nice updates.

The Toyota 4Runner is a body-on-frame SUV with three rows of seating. This is a serious truck with a very tough, powerful, heavy and hence fuel-thirsty four-wheel drive system. For 2013, the four-wheel dirve transfer-case on the SR5 model is now activated by a button instead of with a lever. This makes it more modern in feel. Drivers will likely appreciate this civilizing touch. The USB port is also now more accesible as it is relocated from the glove compartment to the center stack. Prices range from $31,340 for the SR5 4×2 to $40,880 for the Limited grade 4×4.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is designed to go off-road. It has been around since 2007 and since it competes with the Jeep Wrangler, which rarely updates itself, changes to the FJ are equally few and far between. For 2013 all FJ Cruisers now use daytime running lights as standard. They also feature power mirrors with integrated lights. This is essentially making an option that most people want, a piece of standard equipment. Prices have increased an average of $765 across the FJ Cruiser lineup. The 2013 MSRP starts at$26,880 for the 4×2 model with a $28,470 for the 4×4.

The Sequoia is massive. This huge vehicle is based on the Tundra pickup and is a three-row SUV. Being aggressively styled it is perfect for families who abhor minivans which is probably why Toyota has chosen this vehicle to debut an industry-first Blue-ray rear seat video system.

All 2013 Sequoias now use the 381-hp 5.7-liter V8 since the the 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 has been discontinued. Upgrading the engine to the larger V8 cost $625 on the 2012 model. Prices across the line have increased by $580 on average. The 2013 Sequoia has prices starting at $41,955 for the SR5 4×2 to $62,570 for the Platinum 4×4.

Prices for the Sequoias’s sibling, the Tundra pickup, are slightly increasing since 2012. The 2013 MSRP is $25,355 for the Tundra 4×2 Regular Cab with a 4 liter V6 and climb to $43,795 for the Limited CrewMax 4×4 5.7-liter V8.

Yea I thought 2012 would be the last year of the FJ. I even heard it from a Salesrep at Toyota. However, I am happy nonetheless

"They also feature power mirrors with integrated lights. This is essentially making an option that most people want, a piece of standard equipment.".....

Man, thank God Toyota reads this forum, and FINALLY noticed all the posts, threads, rants and requests to have integrated lights with power mirrors. That is the ONE thing I and every FJ owner has felt was lacking in this vehicle. I, for one, am glad they made this a standard equipment feature.....not heated mirrors, or heated seats, or better defrost, or better cruise control, or fold flat seats, or front and rear 115watt outlents, as well as 12volt front and rear standard like they have in most all of their other vehicles. Thank God....integrated lights in power mirrors. Joy.

I think they really should have made the rear window slide down just like.....every other Toyota and Lexus SUV.

Re: Toyota Releases 2013 Pricing For FJ Cruiser and Four Other Truck Models

Basically the only change is the price (Higher) your forced to pay for the pwr mirror & light. I was hoping to hear some real changes like rear door roll down glass, optional diesal engine, or dual fuel tanks...guess I won't trade mine in yet.
