If that doesn't have a roll bar going all the way to the back (saw pix in Autoweek with the top down and I didn't see one) then why do we have to put up with that huge B pillar in the first place. I like it more that the ebay ones but, I would rather have a removable hard top. K

Am I the only one here that thinks that this concept is hideous. Please don't flame me; it's just my opinion.
No flames here -- I don't like it either. Now that I saw the pic with the top down, it's even worse. Looks like a Hummer. yuck.

Re: SEMA 2007: FJ Cruiser Convertible

I'd break out the Sawzall for that...

EDIT - just called Bestop & a very cool but annonymous rep told me its planned for 2009 directly through Toyota, not available for retrofit for our existing vehicles so we are screwed on keeping our existing vehicles & doing the conversion with anything but the uberfugly Newport Convertibles setup

Re: SEMA 2007: FJ Cruiser Convertible

If that's the case, I may be trading in my 2007 Sunfusion for a convertible in the future...

Re: SEMA 2007: FJ Cruiser Convertible

I have been looking at getting an FJ for a LONG time now. If they come out with the soft top for 09 I'm sold. Thats the only reason I would even consider a Jeep. I like the freedom and possibilities the removable top gives you. If anyone has any more info on the possibility of the soft top, please keep us posted!!!
