FJ Cruiser Convertible

Open-air off-roading has been part of Land Cruiser heritage for the past 50 years. The FJ Cruiser Convertible project is a modern tribute to that tradition. At the core of this project is an easy to operate manual top that is affordable and light weight.

With the top up, the FJ Cruiser maintains its distinctive silhouette. In the down position with the side windows removed, the cargo space is maintained without all the hydraulics of an automatic convertible top. The project team was challenged to keep the design simple and credible as a realistic production vehicle versus the other more outrageous show car projects.

This one is sooooooo much better then the other one! I would actualy consider this one.

Can we get more pictures, maybe with the top down?

If that doesn't have a roll bar going all the way to the back (saw pix in Autoweek with the top down and I didn't see one) then why do we have to put up with that huge B pillar in the first place. I like it more that the ebay ones but, I would rather have a removable hard top. K

They finally did it right. I don't like the fast back type that is out but this one is cool... talked about it long time ago when the first conv came out.. everyone then agreed that it needed to be this shape... glad to see they agreed with the board.
