FJ Bruisers 2nd Annual Spring MudFling - GWNF, VA

Registration Now Open Mudfling Registration

The FJ Bruisers will be gathering in the George Washington National Forest for their second annual Spring MudFling on Memorial Day weekend (5/24-5/25). The Toyota Trail Team will be joining them for the festivities!

Along with the Trail Team, they have a bunch of generous sponsors who are donating swag for the raffle and BBQ. Sponsors include Ellis Precision, MagnaShields, Toytech Lifts, Staun, Elemmats, FJC Magazine and many more!

They will be running in the North River (Dry River) area, which includes the Salt Shed, 2nd Mountain, Flag Pole, Kephart and Dictum Ridge to name a few... This section is west of Harrisonburg, Virginia on Route 33.

The Bruisers have been scouting all spring to ensure that they're able to map out the most fun, challenging and legal routes to wheel - offering something for everyone, from bone stock to heavily modded.

The Bruisers have also partnered with the Harrisonburg/New Market KOA to reserve a group of campsites - but slots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon!

All things MudFling can be found at www.FJBruisers.org/MudFling, and feel free to join in the conversation on their forums at OFFICIAL 2nd Annual FJ Bruisers' MudFling.

Also, be sure to check out the article on page 31 of this month's FJC Magazine at Home*-*FJC Magazine: For FJ Cruiser Owners & Enthusiasts.

Be sure to check out all of the MudFling sponsors! Links to their sites can be found at both of the links above.

This sounds like a fun event if I weren't so far away... Mud is the one thing I HATE to wash off a vehicle. Those of you that like to play in the mud are brave souls.

Re: FJ Bruisers 2nd Annual Spring MudFling - GWNF, VA

2 points of clarification / questions:

1) Is there some sort of registration process for this event? I saw the bits about campground reservations and the fact that we would have to sign a waiver to make the run, but didn't actually find an event registration.

2) I assume / think we're talking about the Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley KOA. Is that the same as the Harrisonburg/New Market KOA referenced above? Hopefully. I would hate to be camping with the Girl Scouts (nothing against the Girl Scouts ...mmmm Samoas...love those Samoas!)

1) We are developing a registration plan that we'll update everyone with shortly.

2) It is the same:

Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA
12480 Mountain Valley Road
Broadway, VA 22815
Broadway Virginia Camping, Harrisonburg / New Market Campground in Virginia - KOA in Broadway

Don't know if the GS are camping that weekend there, but we do have our own area reserved to avoid annoying the natives

UPDATE: We will be having a registration email employed shortly along with trail information and a overview schedule on our Mudfling site.

When it is up we'll be posting an update here and in the trail runs section.

Re: FJ Bruisers 2nd Annual Spring MudFling - GWNF, VA

Hello rdvr219, I just submitted my registration form for the Spring Mudfling. I had entered a comment that I will not be able to attend the event due to my location and previous engagements. Would I still be able to purchase the FJ Bruiser stickers even though I can't make it to the event. I sure would like to put them on my truck as a badge of honor and show them around.
