Weird.

I just realized how far forward the shifter is. I usually modify the MT shifter in my cars to shorten the throw. I guess this one won't be as easy as chopping the shifter shaft.

mill a spacer of under the shift lever retainer sub-assemby and lengthen the shifter shaft below the pivot point. all you need is a mill, lathe, and a welder. dosen't everyone have that?

Re: Autoblog's FJ Cruiser's Impressions

I rest slumberly tonight in the fact that in less than 2 months I will be driving a titanium FJ with a slight suspension lift allowing me not only to cruise where paved road riden AWD SUV's run but also only to where their drivers eyes can see the peaks of off in the distance...........

Re: Autoblog's FJ Cruiser's Impressions

looked at the garbage comment and with califj i must second!!!!!!!!!!
My matrix can not be resurected like the FJ can...
You want vinyl and velour then get a soccer mum wagon!
As long as the seats we sit in, the drivablilty, the functionality and the ability of the FJ40 Fin rock then ??????????????????
look around for one of the 2000+ other models on the road!
