Re: Congratulations to cruzinwyo: Winner of the May Photo Contest!
Thanks for the kind words. There were many of good shots in this months contest. Kudos to all the photos!
The story of that day goes something like: 3 FJ's and a JK decided to explore a little with the hopes of playing in the snow. Not an easy task here in the PHX valley. So we headed up to 4 peaks and ended out on the Edwards Park Road. A great adventure full of nothing in particulars, just 4 guys in 4 rigs out exploring new ground.
This was the drive up to the meet up/air down area
With out much luck we seemed to be just a few hours late of finding the snow, as it had all melted. This made for great mud holes though!
Than came the picture of the month with puulboy doing some exploring and finding a dead end. When he turned around and came back at us.....I captured it.
On the way out it was getting late and we were having fun with higher speeds on a trail we had just driven. The whoops the switch backs, the mud holes, everything seemed much more fun at speed. The explorer in us was gone and we were just having a ball. Coming out I bottomed out pretty hard off a roll and a few miles later puulboy calls on the radio with problems. ... a busted shock.
He limped back to the air up spot. I ran home and grabed a spare set of coilovers while him, Cactus, and 8ball tore apart the coils in a dirt parking lot. By the time I was back they had new ones on and the spares where thrown in his puulboys trunk.
IT WAS A GREAT DAY!!
Keep the great photos coming everybody! They are what make good threads GREAT!
