Toyota FJ Cruiser PollsThese are for polls related to the Toyota FJ Cruiser or the FJCruiserForums.com Website. Only Administrators and Moderators may post new topics in this area.
I think you cannot make a good case of this, because there are a lot of FJ owners who do not get on this forum, don't know about this forum, and the windshield issue, so the numbers are skewed anyhow. As for the math i would only say that those who polled on this is an average cross section, and these numbers are the numbers for this forum, so the % is higher. I think toyota should send a letter out with a poll and get a real accurate #. my .02

Need to change my vote. Loading lumber in through the back I popped the front windshield... SWEET! Anyway, I am in Florida so free replacement with insurance at my work no less. Easy enough, I just need to check it out now, they just finished.
One month=2 windshields
This is getting ridiculous
This time I was only going about 25mph and the car in front of my thru up a small pebble.
No crack yet just a small chip

Get that chip filled and it likely will not spread. I have done this on my Jeeps in the past. The windshield glass on the FJs is the same as other vehicles out there...the FJs just are not aerodynamic enough to cause the road debris to go over the roof instead of hitting the glass.

6% doesn't seem like an excessive number for a vertical windshield.
I don't know how much poll taking experience you have, but 6% is a scary number, and I think your survey is causing the problem to be under-represented.
In direct response, 1/2 of 1% is considered a significant response. Your poll only allows people with broken windshields or no problems at all to respond. Add a "I have too many pits and chips for this many miles" option and I think the percentage will climb. I could vote in that category. I didn't vote, because neither of your choices applied for me, though I'm still dissatisfied.
Ask your Congressperson what their reaction would be to 6% of their constituents contacting them about anything. They'll tell you that this would concern them greatly.
Ask Toyota how they would feel if 6% of their customers said they were unhappy? If I put down a single response that is less than perfect on the Dealership questionaire, they basically fail the dealership. That's tough man... they'd freak if 6% of the customers gave failing grades to a dealership.
I'd re-think the conclusion here, but that's just my $.02...

If we were able to change our votes or had a new poll the numbers would be a lot different. I first voted no problem, since then I have had two windows bust to $#!T......
