Incidentally, mine is cracked on the driver's side from the very bottom by the wiper and then curves to the left. I've read this exact same pattern on here alot...too many times for it to be from rocks for it to happen in the exact same fashion.

you got it.. Ya mean like this?

What I like even more is the two cracks coming from the same spot!

or perhaps the first crack I had on the passenger side.

First one was done at the dealer, so I dont know what caused it, second was a pebble that was a chip within 4 hours of sitting in the shade it did the up and over crack. then the curve came and then the defroster took the shot over to the left....

I see a problem with these figures you posted... I just wonder if anyone will catch on.

Re: New Windshield Poll - Please Respond

I got a pretty good chip about a month after I bought my FJ. I had it and about 3 other chips repaired and then the windshield cracked about 2 weeks after the last chip was filled after another rock hit. I went a couple of months and got another chip in the new windshield and had it fixed and it was good for a week when I took a rock that knocked a chunk about 1/8 of an inch wide and about 1/4 inch long and fairly deep out of the glass. I couldn't get in to get it fixed right away because of work and after a few days I was heading home after a graveyard shift and had a guy coming over to repair the chip when it split about 2 ft across the windshield and eventually went about twice that far by the end of the day. Replaced it and a week to the day I got a nice star from a rock again. I got in to get it repaired about 2 hours later and it's been good since then, (knock on wood), which was about 3 months ago. We've had a bunch of construction going on here on the freeway, I80, numerous state and county roads, and city streets so there are a bunch of rocks from this and the second one was in winter when they use landscape rocks instead of sand on the roads.

I was just joking a bit. I've replaced mine twice now. What did you mean from your other post of what was wrong with the stats on the complaints that were posted.

I meant that we are a bunch of cry babies... or we have had way to many windshield problems.

Sorry voice inflection of joking doesnt carry to well over the intarweb.

I understand, that's why I replied so I could clarify what I meant. Take care.
