This thread is per the request of one Mr. JimmyHoops. This one's for you Jimmy...

Which one do you peoples intend on installing as an upgrade?

Include an explanation of why you think your set up is the best and wheel/tire combo.

I know Jimmy thanks you all.

Re: Lift POLL

If I had to choose today I would go with OME,I have Had them on a FJ40 and on a Suzuki...I agree with highbeams in waiting a bit to see what comes out later Would however be a little leary of Fabtek they have a major recall right now on some of there lifts

Re: Lift POLL

Going to start out with OME -- Stock 17" Wheels and 285 (That’s the plan but will have to do a little testing) probably BFG Mud Terrains as there are not a lot of options in 285/70/17 yet but these will work for now. Will re-evaluate when Fabtech has an offering.

Re: Lift POLL

Anything that'll give me a "real lift", y'know, 10 - 15 ft.

Re: Lift POLL

Well, I just walked in here to my computer from the living room where there is a box with a brand new set of Donahoe coil-overs for my FJ in it. They're being installed this afternoon. Tomorrow (assuming I can cut a good enough deal and they have availability) I'm getting some 285/70/17 BFG Radial AT's put on. The 265 BFG AT's that are currently on there are going to another forum member. I have the Donahoe rear set on order (probably another six to eight weeks out). Looks like a good couple of days (if you don't count expenditures).

Re: Lift POLL

OME unless there is something better and not $1000 more expensive. Loved the ride on my FJ80.
