In Utah 91 is as good as it gets. Everytime I fill up i use 91, however a recent confession from my wife, who drives it daily says she puts the cheap stuff in. She didn't know it made a difference.
She was complaining about getting 15-16. With the good stuff we get around 18. We actually got 19 this last trip to Moab, on the open road.
Mandatory full-service stations by law.. It really sucks when driving through. Makes me want to get the MAF tank even more so i can fill up in norcal and get strait though to WA.
I wonder what the poll results would be now that the fuel is almost 3.60 a gallon for premium.
Man I wish I could pay 3.60 per gallon. I still remember paying .79 cents per gallon when i moved to Georgia about 10 years ago. Now I pay the Palm Beach county tax.
The last station close to me that had it 3.69 ran out of gas. everywhere else close is at least 3.75 or more for regular. Still better than my last truck which ran diesel at 4.29 and only got about 10 mpg. but that is with a curb weight of 17,500.
dont be shocked James we pay $0.16 (SAR0.6) for liter (octane 95) and $0.12 (SAR 0.45) (octane 91)
I guess that makes up for the import fees on The Fj.
Seems like everyday they talk about all the fuel shortages. Just need some more refineries. China just built a automated one for 2.8 Billion. As much profit as these guys are making they should build a few more. Even if cost were tripled they could pay cash for them. Plus if a hurricane hit full shut off to full operation only takes a week instead of the month it takes now.
With prices of gas hitting $4.00,I just run the 87octane, plus I dont really feel the difference if I put 91octane b/c I mostly run highways and trails.
