Re: What grade gas do you run?

I'm using premium but that is only 91 octane in my neck of the woods!

Re: What grade gas do you run?

I put 87 in last night for the first time I had to fill up after the dealers tank, and i stopped half way because i realized that it takes premium. but i think i'm gonna go with 91 octane when i fill up next time.

Re: What grade gas do you run?

I run min 91 and most times 94

get used to high octane and the price you wont have a choice in the future

and no ...i wont listen /smell /or wipe diesle off my hands when the fjc is diesel.

dirty dirty fuel and oil changes are double on gas . {yes better milage but delivery of the fuel is dirty }

btw ...with mid to high grade gas ... I get about 450 KILOMETERS to a tank

that is pushing it .

stock b pkg

Re: What grade gas do you run?

89 octane (1 grade up from 87). 459kms @ 58 litres, which means I'm averaging about 570kms per tank.

Re: What grade gas do you run?

I run super premium (Safeway 91 octane) all the time, and I average between 18 & 19 MPG.
This is with a roof rack, OME 3" lift, ARB bumper and Warn XD9000 winch, and stock size aggressive mud tires.
Was getting 21 MPG before all of the above.

I was "forced" to use regular last week due to outages up here in the PNW from the huge windstorm we had a week ago Friday.

Just checked my mileage now since I gassed up today, and I dropped down to 16.5 from using the regular.

Never again if I can help it.
It does not run as well on it, and the MPG suffers.
