New Product Coming soon: New rear lower link skids!
We have a small quantity of our first run of the lower link skids in stock!
These protect the vulnerable rear trailing/lower control arms.
This great lower cost alternative to replacing your lower arms with high $$ aftermarket arms was carried over from the 3rd gen 4Runner skids we have had for a few years and have proven to be indestructible...
They are a weld on design, solid steel and they have a threaded hole for E brake cable mounting. I will post pictures up later.
Pricing $199.99 set plus shipping...
Skids ready to weld on!
First Skid welded on and ready to pound some rocks!
Re: New Product Coming soon: New rear lower link skids!
Anyone have any experience with this product? I am a big fan of Toytec and was wondering how these perform.

I haven't had any problems with them. I actually won these and they add a lot of strength to the stock lower control arms.

This is good to hear. This product seems like a good use of the quiet, reliable stock bushings (and the associated links).

Let me start by saying I love Toytec, their customer service and the way they stand behind everything they sell is top notch. With that being said, I don't see how these are a deal at all. Please correct me if I'm wrong but:
1) most other heavy duty duty LCA's are around $300, you only save $100 with these.
2) they need to be welded which cost either time or money.
3) they have to be repainted or powder coated which is more money.
4) you are reusing the factory bushings which aren't the best to begin with.
I looked at these as an option, but maybe I am missing something.

I have these and like them. I chose them because I feel the adjustable ones are unnecessary. Plus you have the added benefit of them acting like a slider.
You can get them welded and painted for the same price.
I have not heard of any problems with the factory bushings.

1. You are correct, other lower links can be had for around $300.00
2. However, from what I have seen, Toytec offers a pre-welded and pre-painted option on a set of stock lower links, with a refundable $50.00 core charge.
3. Factory bushings are fine and I have not heard of anything negative...actually, I have seen a few aftermarket rear LCAs that use/reuse stock bushings - eliminating Johnny Joints and/or zerks, thus eliminating noise and extra maint.

I stand corrected..... I didn't realize you could get them ready to bolt on for $200. I also didn't mean that the factory bushings were junk or anything, just that I thought the johnny joints or zerk fittings were better. For $200 complete they are back on my list of considerations......

Its all good....I am waiting to hear back from Toytec to see if indeed this product is what I think it is.....for an initial investment of $250.00 and a refundable $50.00 core charge....this seems like a deal.....no "maint", factory links and professionally welded product seems like a no brainer.....
