Off roading in Birmingham Alabama

missmy60 and I got together today for a short jaunt into a local wildlife management area. These trails don't have the giant bolders that some of the threads in here have, but it was fun to get the tires dirty.

Anyway... we only had about an hour to play, and then we had to go back to civilization to catch the Crimson Tide play.

missmy60, thanks for the short tour!

missmy60's sweet ride:

This hill is steeper in person than in photos:

We laughed at this tree's feeble attempt to keep us from moving forward:

These ruts were pretty deep -- though you can't really tell from this picture:

Pretty steep climb through a narrow pass around that bend:

Both our rides:

So there you have it! I'm sure missmy60 will add his photos sometime this weekend. It was a great time!

Re: Off roading in Birmingham Alabama

Mine are not as good as yours but here they are...

This hump was a lot steeper than it looked!

this was very steep but the pics make it look flat.

Flexing!!

I took this at about 40 MPH on our way out...

The old "Haunted bridge"....... scary.

The last truck that tried to make it across the creek

I had a great time..... If anyone in the birmingham area wants to join us next time just let us know.

Re: Off roading in Birmingham Alabama

Looks like fun. Maybe one weekend I can make the trip to B'ham. Me and my girl have been talking about making a trip over and checking out the Motorsports (cycle) Museum too.

If you Plan A trip to the Barbers Motorsports Museum, let me know.... My wife had A business Meeting there but I have not been yet. She said that it was great and she does not care much about racing of any kind..
