Thumbs up Trail Database

My friend just started up a wiki website to document off-road trails. It's mostly for California trails right now, but I'm in the process of helping out with the Nevada portion.

It's a wiki site so anyone can contribute. If you know of a trail in your area, share it with everyone!

Here's the main site:
Main Page - Dirtopia

Here's the Nevada page so you can all see what's up in my neck of the woods:

Re: Trail Database

There arent any "broken" links that I'm aware of, but I'm sure there's more than a couple links that dont have pages defined... a common practice in what is wiki.

If you know *anything* about any of those paths, or know of ones that arent there, just write something about it: the general area, starting points, even a comment that someone would enjoy searching through an area... and dont worry about the format, write it free form if you have to. You could even start a page off with something as simple as "I remember this trail my dad took me on when I was a kid - It was off Indian Creek Road in the national forest - and it was the most amazing fun trail I've ever been on"...

And eventually, someone will come in behind you and read it, enjoy it, write more about it, format it, update it, make it better, etc.

Re: Trail Database

I just added a short wiki guide for creating a trail report. See HOWTO - Dirtopia.

Also, we've now got 6 Trail Reports posted for the Las Vegas area.
