MissFJ's Moab Report

I’m still alive!!!
…and my pics are finally done uploading Here’s my Moab story

Headed out 5:30 am PST on Wed from Cali to meet with a TTORA truck for a caravan. Got to Moab about 7 pm UT time (Mountain time zone??). Hung out with the TTORA people, caused TTORA chat room trouble (Andy banned “me”), got tagged with stickers, my mini FJ was run over by RC Rockcrawlers, went to bed kinda late...

Hit Cliffhanger trail on Thursday Morning with the TTORA group. It’s a trail with great views. The only really hard part were the steps and ledge and the very beginning. There was one tippy spot on the way out, but nothing too bad. Rained on and off with cool lightening strikes (not so cool when all the CB’s start buzzing and your hair poofs out).

That night it poured 100 year rain, so we went back out to the Moab Rim road (don’t know the real name) to check out the waterfalls. Too bad my camera only too rain drop pics in the dark

Met with the trail team and other FJ’s Friday morning to do Hells Revenge. Rained all day, which is a good thing (washed the sand away). Went through a lot of water, steep climbs/descents, many more obstacles then Cliffhanger. My Hell's Gate obstacle run was microphoned and filmed by the trail team video guys...maybe I'll be on Toyota's website

Saturday the FJ’s took on Poison Spider. No more rain! Lots of wet sand made my traction not so fun It was a very busy trail and took us all day.

Sunday, those still in town did the harder of the trails, Moab Rim. We were told very sketchy, but there was only one part that made my assometer scream (the descent off the Z turn). I screwed up on a non-hard part of the trail…I’m sure Mark will send pics out later

Having the trail team out there not only made it fun, but VERY informative. I’ve learned so much from this week and am so glad I got to wheel with them!

A few of the fine gentlemen I hung out with:
Me & Rod Ness (for you pancho!)

Mosun and me...and some random kid that never makes a striaght face

Driving Pics because I was bored for 900 miles.

After running Moab Rim, I figured out I forgot my laptop at the Motel. Went back to get it and it was no where to be found. Called the police and it reappeared! Thankfully! Ended up leaving Moab around 5pm after gas and airing up. Saw a few FJ's returning to Moab...with not a clean spot on them

Wow, what an awesome time! There’s still so many trails that I didn’t do, guess I’ll have to go back next year

Miss FJ.....congradulations on making a lot of us look like big puss's.. tee hee...
I wouldn't do some of the stuff you guys were doing.....too chicken. Its also neat to see some faces to put with pancho and the others, especially since someone directed me to your "myspace" page.....girl...you got it going on.....
Ha...oh yea, I finally got to see the bikini pics without the signs infront..ha!!

Anyway, sounds like you all had a great time and I'm really glad that you all got to share in the comaradarie and friendship building I'm sure the event fostered.

Maybe next year me and the wife can go with you guys.......

Thanks for the pics.

Two good guys in those pics, too. Mo and Roosterdo are class acts.

Re: MissFJ's Moab Report

MIssFJ, it probably wouldn't be difficult for you to get a volunteer to sit in the passenger seat and take photos of your four-wheelin' adventures . . . where's Bigbill when you need him ?
