I've just returned from BorregoFest (early, because I now have to work Sunday morning

) but since I'm home now I thought I'd get a thread started for the trip report.
I've got tons of pics but no energy to upload them now, so they'll be coming soon.
First of all, I think we may have broken the record for # of FJ's in one place. I believe we had 14. WooHOO! We also had some Tacos, a couple of HiLuxes, some 4 runners, a few jeeps and even an H3. And the Hummer forum folks were planning on coming over for a potluck tonight, but I'm going to miss it. (Hope you enjoyed my tabouleh salad folks!)
I'd like to give a special thanks to Highbeams (even though a bunch of people kept calling him "Jim" all weekend

) for really being the driving force behind the whole thing. He is a leader in every sense of the word, and we all had a great time thanks to him.
Also thanks to Jared (4RnrJ) who led a second group of us on a bit of a more advanced run on Saturday afternoon.
I met a lot of great people from the boards here...too many to list, and also I don't want to embarass myself by screwing up names. Suffice it to say that it was a solid group of guys and girls, and everybody had a spectacular time.
On another note, we stayed at Palm Canyon campground, which is pretty far from any roads or sources of light. Because of this, the stargazing was incredible. You saw normal stars, but you were also able to see the fainter stars, which numbered in the billions. It looked like someone had spilled salt on black velvet. I was left humbled and in awe at the beauty of our universe.
It was also dead silent. No cars, no animals, no wind, no nothing. It was the complete absence of sound, and I really enjoyed it.
Overall, I had a great time, and I'm sure everyone else did too. Pics will be up on Sunday sometime.
Thanks again folks!
