Anza Borrego 11-4

That was a fun day. It was nice to meet some new guys, and their wives and girlfriends. That was a pretty cool looking caravan too. A couple times during the high speed donut wash, I was a little concerned. Sliding sideways at probably 40 MPH can feel a little scetchy. Those hills at the Pumpkin Patch were fun, and the devils slide was pretty cool too. We forgot our camera. Did anyone get any pictures?

Here's a few of the pics I took yesterday. That was a fun run! Thanks everyone!

Hey we went to Borrego Yesterday on 11-11-06, not 11-4. Where am I?

That was a fun day. It was nice to meet some new guys, and their wives and girlfriends. That was a pretty cool looking caravan too. A couple times during the high speed donut wash, I was a little concerned. Sliding sideways at probably 40 MPH can feel a little scetchy. This was my first time four wheeling in my FJ. I had a blast! The FJ gave me a big time grin all day long. I felt sorry for all the bikers and quad riders. There I was, chillin, with the AC on, just cruising all over the place, while they're eating 15-25 mph gusts of sand.

I really did enjoy having other more experienced drivers lead the way. It really helped my confidence level. This gave me the gumption to point my FJ up the hill and step on the gas. It was a rush. Thanks again Adventure4X4.net. That was the first time I've been off road since about 1988 or so. The FJ reminded me of my old CJ7. However, the FJ experience was truly kick arse! What a truck the FJ.

I really enjoyed getting to meet everyone on the trip. My fingers really did smell like fish tacos for awhile. I also experienced a cooler failure during the woop sections. Luckily, there was no spillage. I never did find the Pizza Hut in Ramona =P. Fun times everyone, I look forward to doing that again.

Here are some pictures from the trip:

Re: Anza Borrego 11-4

so far so good, o pictures of my Jeep stuck on that dune

LOL the date is wrong, oh well someone has more time than me

No thanks needed, our site is all about trail rides, no brands or makes excluded, we have many forums we partner with such as this. It is a lot of fun to get a nice group out, yesterday was 9, lots better than 3, our record over there is 29 on one run.
I will have some video, but right now am trying to figure out how to use the software that came with the camera, LOL, gess I need a 8 year old in the house.

I had a great time at Borrego...what a fun place to play. It was nice meeting everyone too. I brought my camera, all charged up, but completely forgot to take any pictures (except at Font's Point) because I was too busy enjoying the drive. Can't wait to see those vids...and for a future event.

Re: Anza Borrego 11-4

I had a blast yesteday! It was my first time out too and I was blown away at what our FJs can do on stock tires and suspension. I was so excited about yesterday and about getting out there again with everyone that I spent all day at work today in my office looking at some offroad goodies like stuff to air down tires, CB radios, and on board air so I'm better prepared the next time out. It was really great meeting all of you, it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if it wasn't for the great group that was there.

Looks like I missed a fun trip. I was playing in Superstition Mountain last Fr and Sat. Lots of sand and very little brushes there.
