Thumbs up Bill Moore Lake, CO (7-7-07)

I Just thought people would like to see this. It was an incredible drive, nothing too difficult. I did the whole trail with stock Dunlops AT20's and just a front leveling kit so there isn't any serious crawling, used my locker once and had A-Trac on a couple times. Let me know what you think, it's VERY worth the trip!

Nice-looking pair of Yotas. Beautiful scenery indeed.

Looks great. I've been thinking about doing that one for a while. Do you know if there's any fish in the lake?

From another forum:

If you're headed to the lake for the trout you will be dissappointed. The lake is only about 3 feet deep in the middle and freezes solid in the winter. Any fish in it would be freeze killed. A few might make it up from downstream by later in the season but I've never heard of anyone catching anything at Bill Moore.

Yeah, the people that were up there when we got there had their poles out and figured they'd give it a shot. Not sure if they ever caught anything, but to be honest we could have probably driven across the entire lake without ever getting over the bumpers. Either way it'd be worth hiking around and casting just to spend time and enjoy the scenery.

They were up there but they weren't bad. I got bit twice i think. I honestly didn't notice them that much, although it was gusting here and there so it might have been blowing them around too much for them to gather anywhere.
