Tellico, Upstate Cruiser, FJTT & me - OTMT 2007

The Upstate Cruisers (TLCA Chapter based in SC) hosted the Over The Mountain Tour 2007 this past August 11-12 with the East Coast FJ Trail Team in attendance.

We arrived Friday night just in time for trollhole's buffalo wings (made from scratch, not preseasoned frozen tripe)! Many familiar names were in attendance for this event: k9crazy, DanKunz, Lab601,NGA-FJC, FJCRUSR and many more from the IH8MUD rabble rousers: trollhole, shmitty, clemsoncruiser, carpdawg, land speeder, hercdriver, alexgar, sputnick40, gearguywb and more I can't remember right now.

The East Coast TT, headed by Woody, lead driver and founder of IH8MUD.com was really cool to hang out with and talk cruisers and wheeling. Really friendly guys and knowledgeable about all things cruiser. They broke out the shwag on Saturday night, and provided us with dinner that night too.

Great pix! Wish we could have stayed to talk and actually meet each other but, we had to get back to help try to get the 40 offa lower 2 (got it back to camp well after midnight; I was already on my way back to Otown).

One of my kids broke his fall with our camera (so Circuit City is sending it away under warranty) so I am trying to find a way to download our pix of the weekend including Saturday's festivities. Hope to ride with you at Beasley in September. Karl

All that missed this trip lost out on a great time, great food, and some great wheeling. For my first trip to Tellico...I could not have asked for more. We took it easy on the first day since I was tagging along behind my brother in law who was in my old 40. It was a pretty good shake down run for the 40...and it performed flawlesly, though it was a mild run for the FJC. Sunday was another easy day as we were follwed by the East Coast TT. All in all...a very good trip.

Oh yeh....anyone who has stock dunlops....no worries...I was the only FJC on stock rubber, and hung with the best of them.
