McLean Creek, August 30th

I had the opportunity to meet up with nlk125 and targa88 for a quick run out at McLean Creek after work. It was the first time I've ever been there even though it's only 25min from my parents' house!! The trail was in good condition, mostly dry dirt and bare rock. This is probably the most technical run I have done, but it's still pretty tame compared to what some guys are doing on this site. I don't have a lot of action shots but the scenery at "The Top Of The World" was pretty awesome.

The views from the top:

Rumour is that this park and trail system will be closing next year due to people abusing it. It's really too bad that people mistreat something like this especially when it's only a 30min drive from Calgary. Anybody in Southern Alberta should take advantage of it while they can!!

Nice pics! Those are some good rocks - believe me I know how the camera has a way of making everything look like pebbles.

Re: McLean Creek, August 30th

Yup, everything seems a lot less impressive once captured by the camera. It was a good time though!
