Fellow FJTT'er Ron invited us (Tim and I) to go with him on the Marlin Crawler Round up. $25 bucks for food and camp (I think), a few more dollars for some shirts and raffle tickets (profits go to Friends of the Rubicon), and tons of fun!
We really need to test out the FJ, Tim and gone up there the week before, but lets face it, I have the final say
. We went in Friday morning (9/14) and looked for Ron...no where to be found. No problem, we seemed to make friends quickly as we rolled up ("what is that!!")
Marlin was a friendly guy who let me cut in the food line for dinner
He also complemented on the awesome fab work that was done!!
Won some cool raffle prices ($100 snap on GC and demello rack mounts!!) and they raised $5k for FOTR.
Besides the many onlookers of the FJ, the second most frequent comment we heard was "wow, I didn't know newcastle came in a can"
(while walking!!)
