Booger in the fall.

So, my wife and I realized the other day that since she has lived here, we have not been any where in the fall, and have not seen leaves changing colors for over 9 years. We have no seasons really down here in phx, other than It's nice out, its Hot out, and hey, its cold for a week or two. Thats it.

So, we went up behind the San Fransisco Peaks in Flagstaff this morning.

The road we chose

A view of the Peaks. Had some recent snow, just a dusting. It was almost all gone by the time we were leaving.

This was in Locket Meadow. I'm amazed I am the only vehicle in the picture. We followed one guy up there, and once in the meadow, it was packed with people and cars. Crazy. It was also pretty windy, and yet, there were people out there in lawn chairs reading books. ???

Another shot of some Aspens up in the meadow.

And, the place where we stopped for lunch. The whole ground was yellow from the fallen leaves.

We had a lot of fun, but I had to re learn that Shorts and a T shirt suck when its 40* out and windy as hell. I can't wait for winter to go playing.

Re: Booger in the fall.

I never went to NAU, officially, but damn do I miss going up for parties when a couple of my friends were there.

I lived up there until I was 6, actually not far from Locket Meadow.
