Glad you made it back safely Shreesh. I bet you've already started planning your next trip.

Re: Across the Americas in a FJC

I am reading your "alongdrive" pages (fun read) and see that you had a "DOT approved" aux tank installed. Do you have any information on where that tank originated? I have not read that the MAF tanks are DOT but I could be wrong.

Sometimes the next step, the answer to your question, is the most obvious thing in the world. You should write a book.

Thank you for sharing your adventure.

I believe the gas tank in question is an off the shelf Dodge tank. Dunno the part number.

This is something we are exploring. It would be a significant amount of work but might be quite fulfilling. We have friends who are authors and it is very difficult to get a publisher to accept your book!

Right now both of us are real busy dealing with all the issues that come with living in America. But some day...

Re: Across the Americas in a FJC

I miss the patagonia every single day. I often dream in Castillano. I'm making empanadas when I get home or milanesas.

Shreesh I'm about as jealous as your gonna find, and I've seen it. (maybe it's because I've seen it)
