Got RC 3" lift, Maxxis 33" M/T's and AR Mojave's (pics of my first Mudding ever!)

Well, as the long title says... Finally got my RC 3" installed (thanx to the christmas group buy and my g/f for buying it for x-mas) Maxxis Bighorn M/T's (285/70/17) = (33.5x11.5) and AR Mojave Teflon wheels.

I am new to the 4x4 crowd coming from the import AutoX/drag scene trying something new.
My buddy has a very sweet jeep, and we decided to do some mudding...

pics.... (sorry, a bit big...)

FJ and Buds Jeep

I like the outcome of the goodies...

-little flexin'

got into a little fight...

my first and only "stuck" of the day...

gotta love those easy access recovery points...

still a happy camper...

was out pretty quick...

I couldnt hold it in... (same hole I got stuck in)

as I was getting ready to get his @ss out... the bastard managed to save himself... (35" tire advantage helped him?)

dusk falls...

still playing...

and some more...

at the end... still a good team...

and, what I hated the most... 1 1/5 hrs at the self serve car wash.

over all I was very pleased with my FJ's performance, can't wait to do this again and experiment in other places...

deppy,
How do you like the Bighorns? I had a set on my FJC before I got a lift and I loved them. I prefer them over the Hankooks I'm running now.

well, as mentioned above, I am new to the whole 4x4 scene, so these are my first official M/T tires... but from basic observation, they seemed to perform very well in the mud. I got through every mud hole my buddy and his jeep did (toyo 35" M/T's) with the exception of that one time I got stuck. They are very quiet on the road and handle very well on hard surfaces.

Sorry to take the topic of the thread off the trip and onto the tires. I just wanted to see how you liked them. In my experience they do really well in rocks too. Very tough sidewall.

Anyways, looks like you and your friends had some fun.
