Trail Report/Photo Section/GPS CoordinatesBeen offroad with your FJ? Tell us about it and post up any photos or GPS coordinates so others can possibly follow in your footsteps!
T been doing this 20+ years, I know trail ratings are subjective, really wasn't argunig about the rating, I have been on that trail more than once. If you must know I had a tough choice, TTORA in Johnson, or a club outing to Hungry Valley & Lockwood, chose the club, zero chance of posers with the club..... What have you done lately to have a positive impact on our sport???CA4WDC member? CORVA member? Blue Ribbon? Will we see you on earth day 4-19-08 in Big Bear to do work on true black diamond trails?? Remember Adopt a trail 4-16-08 in Corona, or was that just more blather....
Youch! Stressin' out a bit today? Deep breaths man. Deep breaths.

Is 2N17X the same as John Bull? I don't think so, based on where you guys are talking about, but the number sounds familiar from last August when I attempted to run JB.
Still planning to go back (without cooking my pinion this time ) this summer....if the price of diesel isn't so high it's prohibitive.

Sean, the trail system is kind of confusing. They meander, break and starts up again. I gave up trying to remember them. They have so many different names too...

The John Bull aka 3N10 is a Big Bear trail. The 2N17X is very close to Silverwood Lake. There are trail options that can keep you busy all day from this area, all through Lake Arrowhead and probably up to Big Bear. That would be a great overnight run.

MORE MODS TO COME IN THE FUTURE RIGHT NOW TOO BUSY SAILING THE SEVEN SEAS WITH THE NAVY!!!!!!!
I made it all the way down in early '07 in my 4Runner, so the FJ's should have no probs. The 1st pic in the 1st post is the tightest toughest spot, we considered turning around as well, but flipped a coin & proceeded. It's not too bad after that spot.
Just noticed the thread about a group that went up without issue, but going down definitely has more pucker factor!
