Re: Tolland State Forest 4/05 pics

I actually changed my rear diff oil the night before with some cheap stuff because I knew we'd be getting wet, whether it was mud or water. I've got to change all my fluids this week. Looks like Royal Purple works well for everyone here so I'll give it a try. Muds almost all off. Rick and I stopped at a local carwash on the way home and blew them off pretty good. Got some good pinstripes wheelin' through the back country on the way out. Oh well it's all part of the game.

Awesome vid Stig. Had a great time. I just got done reclaiming my rig. I'm still flushing out Pennsylvania mud from Rausch Creek. That was a good time yesterday. Nice meeting you. We'll have to do it again SOON!

Ya maybe if we did a run in late august or sept the water level would be lower and we could do that deep crossing! I keep on thinking I should have tried that mud hole you two did. (btw my name is with a K ; )

Send me your vids, if you can, to stigshot@gmail.com

Sorry about that, that's what happens when you post names. Did I hear the hint of an accent in your voice? Talk to you soon.

Haha what accent?
How are you gonna take care of those scratches... i need to do some research to find a good brand of rubbing compound and wax. or go by the body shop.

Well I stopped by the detailer today and he said they weren't that bad and that I could take care of most of them with some good wax and some elbow grease. I bought some Meguires cleaner wax. I had the truck cleaned again this morning and while at my sons practice this morning, I went over my rig. Only one deeper scratch up front. Looks pretty good now. He said not to keep coming back for scratches because each time they repair a bad one it takes away from the clearcoat. I was kind of digruntled that we took that fire road out after we had gotten covered with mud. Those hemlocks brushed down the sides but good.
