So rather than back out, JFubar and I chose to turn around in a different spot. Seemed like a good idea unti the berm gave out under my rear tire and the rear end went off the trail. Ever pray to hit a tree?

Two trees stopped me, only minor body damage. Sure am glad I made that 2"receiver for the front end and had a winch to plug into it.

Thanks again Jfubar for the help!!
So, im assuming Foobar turned around before you? Then u took your turn and that is when the ground gave way. I hate this happened but im glad you had the equipment on hand to get out of a sticky situation.

I need pics of me in damnation if anyone took any. I would never have made it if I hadn't been wearing my all pro hat. It works better than the Lucky Hat.

Yes, good times indeed. Did you know they had gone down and sent a rescue team up after us? I spotted Stringmachines rig at the rescue teams office and stopped.

Thanks again for your help

Yes, J turned around first, them I went in and turned around in the same spot. On the way out is when the bank let loose. I've always been a be prepared type. Just like my Fj the first thing I put on my ATV was a winch and recovery gear. I dont like to depend on anyone else for help. Just another trail experience A dent that will pop back out (I am hoping) and a story to tell.

We enjoyed wheeling with you guys, glad you heard us on the radio and caught up with us. We had a great time on the afternoon run. We ended up going up #13 on Sunday , that is the trail the guys on the ATVs told us was washed out. It is called Damnation Alley. Wasn't washed out, that is how it always is. It was fun and Edith did it with a Stock FJ. Too cool
