So, I'm about halfway through the blog and I must say that those are some krazy firework photos that you got on day 23. Could South Pass City have been population of about 7, each of which own property that they were mining the natural gas on.
Hahaha, yea they're all filthy rich! Hard to say how many people in fact live there, it was largely a historical site (sort of touristy) with lots of the old buildings from the gold mining days still in tact.

Arriving during that festival was good and bad - good that there were all kinds of fireworks, but bad in that the only steakhouse in the next town over was booked!

Re: tibaal89 on the Continental Divide Expedition

Wow i just read the whole blog in one sitting...

Im quite jealous both of your expedition and rig. I would love to do a sick trip like that some day. I am planning a small trip to moab over spring break. It will be the first of its kind!

Also, props on a great eye for photos although i doubt you had to look hard to find good shots haha.

Thanks! I've never been to Moab, but it is obviously a ridiculously epic place. Have you thought about the Kokopelli Trail that goes from CO to Moab? From the pics I've seen of that it's a guaranteed good time.

There are a few pictures of me on there... I'm surprised the eyes aren't bleeding.

I carry a spool of that with me at all times... you never know when you'll be stuck out alone somewhere and have to make your own clothes out of the skin of that grizzly bear you just killed with your bare hands. Also good for reattaching limbs and other common expedition tasks like that.
