Rasor Road, Ca 3/15/09: A brief side trip on the way home from Vegas
On 3/15 on the way home to SoCal from Las Vegas, Mrs. FJsRKool and I exited at Rasor Road off the 15 Freeway. There is a huge Off-Highway vehicle area to explore there, but most of it was pretty desolate. After searching for something interesting and finding none, we started back toward the freeway...just a little bit before getting to the freeway ramp, we noticed a trail off to the right, heading toward some interesting looking hills. Of course I had to explore it; We went to the peak of one of the hills to look around. There wasn't anything too spectacular, but the red hills were pretty neat, and we did see a few wildflowers. Saw some trails from a few snakes in the sand, but saw no snakes. I'm always cautious in the desert about snakes. Anyway, here are a few photos of this side trip.
