Re: Arizona?

Even if not for a trail run, I'd like to set up a meeting of the FJ's for a photo shoot.

I think it'd be a cool picture with all the FJs arranged and a picture from a high vantage point.

Re: Arizona?

I'm in the west valley. I've had the FJ for several months and I wheel pretty hard (when I can). Prior to this, I had a modified Tacoma which I also wheeled hard. There is no lack of great trails around the valley of the sun!

If you want to start an FJC club, you'll get takers I'll join if I can be in charge of barbecue.

Re: Arizona?

Hey! You're from Fountain Hills!

I'm in the Chicago FJ group but I own property off Saguaro Blvd....my parents live on over on Ibsen (they even took pictures of an FJ down the street from them knowing I'd get excited about it). If I stop out that way this year, I'll let the AZ group know....I'd love to cruise the trails out there!

Re: Arizona?

I'm going out this weekend to Martinez Canyon.

There are a LOT of different levels of trail in the state....just depends on what you are looking to do.

Re: Arizona?

I just went up Martinez canyon a few weeks ago for the first time in several years. The slide at the top has rutted out deeper than the height of my FJ! When I was last on it before, I had to drop off the top like a skier on a cornice. Now, you drive through a notch that's easily 7 or 8 feet deep.

I'd join you if I didn't *JUST* put my truck on jack stands to begin the next mod.

How about a table mesa area run sometime in about a month when my gearing is done? Or... a "fun for all skill levels run" to Crown King for a beer?

Re: Arizona?

So I take it you took the FJC? Any problems? ....one of the guys is bringing his FJC with a 3.5" lift, the Atrack mod that works with the rear locker and 33" equivalents.

Ya, a Table Mesa run sounds good in a month or so....better get the wheelin' in while it's still not too hot.
