Bandi.. Cool site, I just ordered $37 in Decals from them and put down I was referred by Leroy / Bandi.
With this crew and alcohol involved ANYTHING is possible. The people that work the Ferries tell a local legend about the 15 lunatics they saw driving FJ's through 4' deep ocean next to them in the summer of 2006. It was us.
We were trolling!
I just heard back from someone at the North Carolina Beach Buggy Assoc. NC Beach Buggy Association They will be available to come and meet with us if we would like to talk about 4 wheeling at the beach and the fight to keep the beaches open for 4 wheeling. I also found out that the Capital City 4 wheelers are having a fishing tournament there the same weekend. Sounds like a big event! The tournament is full now but their site does mention that they will accept entries at the last minute if there are no shows. Home Page
Sound like there will be some Jeepers there, you all play nice now!
Bandi - Put me down for a sticker, if you don't mind! I still owe Al a beer or six from the spring for his, so I'll add a few to the cooler for you, too! Also, there is still room in the Bruiser's Bungalow, if you want. But the Frisco campground is right around the corner from us. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.
Brian - do you still have my cell? PM me if you need it (also, I could use yours...).
The Point is a decent place to have a bonfire - easy to find and pretty central to everyone. Plus, it's awesome out there. We might be having another one or two on the beach in front of the Bruiser's Bungalow (easy access to the fridge and potty), as well. Still not sure of the nights. As Brian said - it's a 'take it easy' kinda attitude down there!
I need a sticker as well Bandi. I'm sure will have a get together in the middle of the week at our place as well right Yotachick and Al. I'm so excited and i just can't hide it i'm about to lose control and i think i like it!

What, then, a little over 2 weeks?
Are you referring to the actual Cape Hatteras Point or the tip of the island?? The tip of the island may be cool and less traffic but I am up for either.

He is talking about Cape Point in Buxton. The only problem with the point at night in October is there will be about 300 trucks on the point fishing and they do not want any lights at all. That is why I never complained about the lack of interior lighting in my FJ. I think we would do better going in at the Frisco Ramp and turning left on the beach. It is long and flat there and I have had many fires without any problems on this beach and it is almost deserted at night.

I'm cool with that - that'll put us right by the Bungalow (we're between the fishing pier and the airport).

What an awesome idea!!!!! I'd like to join NCBBA, and ask them if they know of any challenging trails we can hit at OBX if we Tread Lightly.....
