There's been one change in plans. Due to the NC burn ban the Bruisers Bonfire Bash has been changed to the "Bruiser Bungalow Pool Party Bash" at the Bruisers house at 9 PM this evening. If you're coming south on 12 you turn left on Tides Edge Road just past the Quarterdeck Restaurant, then right at the T intersection, 3rd house down. GPS coordinates: 35*13'37.92" N 75*38'01.58"W. BYOB and swimsuit, heated pool. (Thanks Josh, hope I got that right. )
Arrgg... Weather looks like thunder showers on
Firday... Does that Kill the Horse Ride ?... My
wife is startin' to stress... Wish she was able
to get thursday off... Anyway... Hope everyone
is having a great time.. POST SOME PICTS' !...
Still riding horses at 11 this morning. Rained like hayell last night, which of course means MILES of mud to play in! (Except for Woody, he Hates Mud. ) Sun's popped out and rains blowing out to sea, but I'm thinking the charter fishing guys are getting a wild ride. Here's a couple pics to give an idea how nice the weather's been (with Ben, Josh and Andrew in Ocracoke, 80 degrees)
Addition to the schedule: Trail teams is looking into the possibility of throwing a free (yes free) BBQ on the Beach for us FJ'rs SAT afternoon around 4 or 5 PM. Should know for sure once we get together SAT morning. I know it's been said a hunnerd times, but Trail Teams are definitely some kick ass dudes.
PS: Bandi and fambly made it in all the way from Jersey (with those sweet decals ), and WESAYSO and Craigfireman also arrived today.
Weather was great today and is sposta be fine SAT and SUN.
More strange random pics:
FJ'rs hobbnobbing with TT b4 we stormed the beach (didn't get any pics of FJ's on tha beach due to reasons best left unexplained, but a bunch of other folks did).
Yoda offroading an Old Skool alternative fuel vehicle:
Coincidentally we were shooting the breeze with Trail Teams at the party last night (ok... really early this morning) about how cool it would be if TLCA was involved in this event in the future. I'd had a couple beers but my general impression was that they think this would be a great place to have a big run every year that they could come to. Partially cuz folk's fambly's can have a lot of fun here too, noobs can learn to wheel with no worries, and there's so much wide open beach to play on. Mebbe we can get more Toyota's out here next year to check it out, cuz it's a lot better in person than it looks in the pics.
