Re: OBX Beach Bash 4 - October 19-21

I am new to this, I just got my FJ. but I plan on coming down from Lynchburg Va to OBX for that weekend. I am going to be staying up at Kitty Hawk. Besides driving down to the beach and seeing who is there, any idea on any particular times you anticipate rallying together?

Is anyone making stickers for the event ? Yotachick had a cool 1 on her fj ( skull and cross bones ) and i think it was Brian VA who made them.

Re: OBX Beach Bash 4 - October 19-21

Catching shrimp may not be too easy there unless you are in a boat. In Charleston they had the ability to bait and net during season but it's not the same there. My wife and I have gone crabbing there on several occasions we have sometimes caught some decent crabs but always caught a buzz. At the time licenses were not required but that may have changed now. We always hit a place called risky business for seafood he says his crab cakes are the best but my wife’s are better. Great company though and always the freshest seafood.

Re: OBX Beach Bash 4 - October 19-21

I have not had any time to come up with a new sticker. I might just use the skull and crossbones and put Toyota Trail Team on top and OBX Beach Bash IV on the bottom. The last run cost me $105.00 for twenty and I'm sure I'll need to make three times as many for this trip. I will wait until late August and try to get a number of people attending and try and flesh out a new sticker or keep the same theme. Hattaras is call the Graveyard of the Atlantic. It was riddled with Pirates that is why I chose the skull & Crossbones.
New Subject: You must buy a fishing license to fish in the ocean now. This is something new. It cost $30.00 for the year. You can buy a cheaper short term license but I do not know how much it costs. Since I go to Hattaras about four times a year I bought the annual.
