AZ Trailbus Taking on Tucson Sept 16th

Update time since it is less than a week to the run

Yeah Trailbus has blessed us with his leadership!!!!

Chiva Falls
PHX Meet Location Entrance to Firebird Raceway W of I-10..look for the signs
Meet Time 8am

Tucson Meet Location Circle K NW corner of Tanque Verde Rd. and Rebecca
the directions from Phoenix: YOU CANNOT EXIT AT SPEEDWAY!
All of the freeway on & off ramps are closed from Prince on the north all the way thru Tucson.
Best bet is to exit I-10 at Prince Rd, then follow the frontage road south to Grant Rd.
Turn east (left) on Grant and follow it all the way until it turns almost due south. The traffic light there is Tanque Verde Rd.
Turn left (east) and follow Tanque Verde as it zigs and zags a few times...but stay on Tanque Verde until you reach the Circle K.

Meet at 10am

YOU MUST HAVE WATER..if you don't bring it or get it at Circle K we will pour some on you!
Pack a lunch or post up if you would like to grill hotdogs..I have a grill adn we can make it happen

Try to have whatever recovery gear you own...at a min gloves and your stock jack/lug wrench

Off trail sometime in the late afternoon to debrief and Chuys...we will be led there by the Tucson Crew

Difficultly: Ok for stock rigs, bypasses aval.
Rockcrawlers will even has some fun, stocker can try or watch or bypass...no hard time given

Du du du!! Jake has arrived in time.. finally, well... lets do chiva it's very cool..there are some choices too, if you think you want some harder areas we will change our plans down in the basin. The waterfall is a must see and should still be running @ that point, three feathers has a few lines to hit and is always exciting see pic below

this is when i was stock, just for shock value!!!!

So it will work perfect and end @ a reasonable time. More details to follow, and choices for everyone depending if stock vehicles come. I will post maps also.

Just got back from Chiva, first time for me!! Holy Crap what a ride! That whole trail is nuts!!!!

I took the far left line down that thing the first time, but went up the shelf on the left for the way back up. Wow what a blast!!

Chiva is absolutely the place to go when the AZFJ decends upon Tucson. Hell, I'll probably be back there on Friday... unreal. I need to go back when it's not dark out - that was kinda scary.
