Re: San Bernardino Mountians

Lets do this! Say a weekend, with about 2-3 weeks notice, arrange camping too! Ill bring the Jagermeister!

I nominate El Mirage dry lake area in Adelanto http://www.blm.gov/ca/barstow/mirage.html , lots of good trails , from flat to hilly, sandy to rocky , the flat lake bed is huge and could be a great meeting and camping spot for unlimited FJs ... but Im open to anyother places.

My AIM= tatted white 818

Yeah, I'm down too -- as long as there is about 2-3 weeks notice!

Re: San Bernardino Mountians

El Mirage , is a great place to learn , very open , no cliffs , no trails that turn into motorcyle trails. Im sure youll be 4x4ing b4 a big FJ meet there, where ever you go just take a spotter! (someone that can get out and direct you or just stick there head out the window, so i can keep both hands on driving)

Re: San Bernardino Mountians

ok guys, lets do a beginners run
there is a killer area in Big Bear area that is the home of one of the biggest gold rushes in southern Ca , It is called holcomb valley, and it has a nice developed campsite there also
around it is trails of varying degrees,
maybe a mid June trip?
I will get back this weekend with a little more info, let me gather it
now, let us set a date
I thin it would be cool to have a bunch of FJCs running trails and showing off our rigs.

FJ? Camping? Does it get any better? The 2-3 weeks notice (if not more) is really important for me.

And I assume kids are kewl? It sounded like CaliFJ's son had a blast on their last outing and my boys (9, 13) would dig a beginner's trip.
