Mojave Road Expedition FEB 08

Please plan to be at Afton Canyon by 0830 on the morning of Saturday, February 2. We will meet at the head of the off-ramp and air-down there. If you are running late, please advise me by cell phone. I'll send you that number in a PM. We should be rolling off the blocks by 0900. The more time we spend hanging out and waiting, the less time to enjoy the road and that's what this is all about. There will be plenty of stops and photo ops.

The Afton Canyon Offramp from I-15 is located about forty miles/minutes northeast of Barstow. While there is fuel to be purchased after you leave Barstow, you should expect to pay "desert prices". Better to gas up in Barstow, grab a breakfast sandwich if you are so inclined and leave there by 0745. (as a guideline)
