08 trailruns/get togethers

Hey guys pretty new to forum, live in richmond VA, was wondering what would be a good run to go on next year. I want to take my wife and young son so trail ride shouldnt be extreme. Just mostly get together with light trails and meet fellow fj owners and check out some of you guys mods before I start modding mine. Have had my fj for about 3 months and great vehicle. I will attend the obx beach bash next year if they have it, I lived in kittyhawk for about 5 years so something different that I dont have to drive west coast to attend. Camping would be cool. Thanks

Welcome Aboard! Just keep an eye on the the trail run section of the forum. Also make plans for the East Coast 4Runner Jambo in june at Rausch Creek in PA. Were working on the event now and i even think we have the Toyota Trail Team joining us. This would be a great first run for you even with the 5 hour drive. George Washington National Forrest in Harrisonburg VA is a great place for newbies and there are always guys getting togehter for a ride. You also have the Bay to Blue Ridge Cruisers Club by you so check those guys out. TLCA : Bayou State Land Cruiser Association

Re: 08 trailruns/get togethers

thanks for the info I will check back often. Penn is not too far sounds like that would be perfect, never been there. I have done alot of offroading in the past. I had a couple of built ford pickups one of them pretty extreme but with the wife and kid I dont want to get to extreme. Plus money to tight at the moment to do what I want with my cruiser maybe next year some time. It seems pretty capable for a stock vehicle some new treads and I think it should go pretty good. I want to do it right the 1st time so I would love to see alot of other peoples work and it would be great to see the trail team. I will be watching later for more info maybe do a couple of events just need to put in the vacation time so I am sure i am off. Once again thanks.

Re: 08 trailruns/get togethers

What yoda said! I am in Richmond too, no need to wait for big trail runs. I'll be heading to Crabtree falls sometime in the next month or so. It's near wintergreen so an hour and a half or so away and is stock friendly. Yoda and a few others of us may head to GWNF sometime soon too.

and the link yoda posted TLCA : Bayou State Land Cruiser Association does take you to the bay to blue ridge and not bayou .. go figure
