Moab get together this summer??

Would anyone be interested in a trip to Moab this summer? No specific dates in mind at this time, just looking for interest to see if it's worth digging into.

Thanks,
Shawn

Re: Moab get together this summer??

I'm in.
Moab is to hot to camp July - August or September. Hotel no prob. I've been going there every year since '95 and have done most all of the easy to moderate trails. Would be happy to lead or suggest trails.

Oh Yeah! Only I'd really like to get my lift and rock rails first.

Hey tisilver, how are the toytec guys coming along on their lifts?

Re: Moab get together this summer??

Hello Folks-

Lurker/FJ Wannabe here.... TTORA is putting on a MOAB trip in early October...

http://ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25377

... that thread is for the trail wheeling part of the week... Earlier in the week is a trip on White Rim trail... it's full as of now(overnite camp sites required and booked)...but maybe space will open up as time permits... White Rim isn't technically tough...120 miles/2 days of the most awesome scenery there is... Voodogirl can attest that Moab is a must-do and is very addicting...

The trails are just too much to describe... go up a tough section of trail and be rewarded with a beautiful view...

Now I'm not a moderator for TTORA, but they even let me and my Sammi wheel with 'em, so I'm sure they would love to have a bunch of FJ's come out to play!

TTORA is an awesome organization and their trail runs are fun, organized, and the folks are helpful, friendly, and, well entertaining... kinda like you'all!

Sounds very cool but if it's all booked up I guess it would be hard to commit to it yet. I'm definitely up for it and would love it if we could get a big group from the forum out there on the trails.

Where can we go in the mean time? I would really like to go on a trail ride sooner than that if possible. Ideas??

Thanks,
Shawn

Hi Kathie,
I just spoke with www.toyteclifts.com about trying something other than the OME 895 for the rear coil springs. I think it needs to be a little longer and softer for better fit and daily driving. We just sent out my stock coil springs to a company for them to make us custom springs. They said it sould take about 2 weeks. If we like the springs there will be no problem getting more and he will have 2 or 3 seperate kits available for the FJ to choose from soon after. I will PM you as soon as I know anything else.

Don----I was hopeing there would have been more '07 FJ's at Cruise Moab...
