Whoa, before you get ahead of yourselves, offroading in California is a highly regulated affair. You will have to first get the necessary offroad permit. I can help you with that, you're in luck. Just send me the $799 per vehicle, and I will get the new bumpers, I mean permits for you.

Re: Off Roading in Los Angeles Area?

Hi,

Lots of places to go within a 2 hour drive.

Rowher Trail in Santa Clarita -- very tough.
Lots of stuff in Hungry Valley in Gorman -- most closed for winter.
Other side of Mojave, CA, about an hour and a half from LA has
a bunch of great areas.

Send me your name, e-mail.
Will put you on my e-mail list.

You guys can come along sometime.

I believe that Rowher Flat is still closed due to the recent fires in the area.
