SedonaFest Dec 7th, 8th, 9th 2007

I thought I better spread the word around here about SedonaFest so all of you can come up and play in the red rocks!
Sedona Arizona is well known for the energy vortexes (sp?) the spritual vibe and the views...now you can wheel those views yourself and get away from the tourist mobs....nothing like seeing those postcard vistas with your eyes
2007-12-07, 08, & 09: AZ SedonaFest - Adventure4x4
that is the main thread but there are other threads for sign up, trails, potluck, give-a-way and more..
A few folks are at hotels, others are camping with us at the main campground and there is even 1 5th wheel!
Please let me know if there is anything I can answer for you that you don't find on the site above.

We're very interested in making our way over there. I've looked around Adventure 4x4, but haven't been able to get a sense if there will be people with open seats willing to let us ride. Any insight?

Re: SedonaFest Dec 7th, 8th, 9th 2007

Oh you can bet there will be open seats...I am pretty sure I will have at least 1-2 spaces for the trails and you might even get to drive so I can run radio and nav....hey you already got to drive it once on a night run so daytime Sedona should be a breeze
My older boy working weekends has been giving me more time behind the wheel so I feel I should share
Go ahead and sign up and either camp or hotel it is your choice as there is now reg fee

So how many folks are showing up for this event?

I found out about it from Terry at All-Pro.

We have a number of FJs in the Sedona area (three in my neighborhood alone).

Are you going to put anything in the local paper Sedona Red Rock News?

I don't think anyone here knows SedonaFest is coming...

Re: SedonaFest Dec 7th, 8th, 9th 2007

I hope to get up there this week coming up at chat with chamber of comm and a couple of the jeep tour companies...
if nothing else I will make some phone calls and send out copies of the great letter Terry came up with for the vendors we are begging give-a-way stuff from.
I can email you a copy of the letter and I will post on adv4x4 to see if any of the great folks over there would like to create a flyer that anyone could print and hand out...
all the info you need is on the fest section of adventure4x4.net .... camping spots still aval and of course the hotel thing

Lance have you posted this on the Copper State Cruisers subforum on IH8MUD? I didn't see anything on their forum specifically. Sounds like a pretty active group and there were quite a few of them at the dealership thing last weekend.

Re: SedonaFest Dec 7th, 8th, 9th 2007

I have been going in order of the forums I am on the most...
1st adventure4x4 since it is their event
2nd expeditionportal.com since that is where I spend a ton of time
3rd here since this is the first forum I was on after I bought my FJC (hard to keep up here since there is sooooo much written daily)
next will be ih8mud - copper section..I am a member of the CCC (only recently though) and I have run trails with them...great bunch of guys. However since there are only a certain number of campsites then I felt there had to see some order...plenty of hotels so in the end I think we will be fine

Good idea though in case I didn't know about that forum, thanks
By the way if you know of any biz that might donate to the charity give-a-way drawing and would like a copy of the offical letter please pm me...or if you just feel like knocking on doors
