Camping in march!!!!!!!! COLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I was not planning on camping, it is an easy 45 min drive from my house. and also we are not limiting it to just fj's.

I will try to make this but I have to agree with Todd:

Of course, with global warming it may be just fine.

Re: Shoe Creek, Va Near March 1, 2008

My friend and I are in...he has a Land Rover D90, and I have a 2007 voodoo blue FJ. Camping in March (or in any weather) is fine if you have the right equipment. Just wear more clothes.

Is there a arranged meeting place/time already? March 1st is a Saturday. If we started on Febuary 28th we could make a weekend out of it. Is there camping there?

Re: Shoe Creek, Va Near March 1, 2008

I by no means am suggesting we have to camp. I am only a couple of hours away. If weather is nice I would be up for it.

There are campsites there a couple that are pretty good sized. It just depends on how many sign up.

That would be fine. I want to confirm it's not closed before I drive my 2 hours or so to get there. My brother is coming in from Nashville and I was going to run him and his boys through it. It will be and one other so you are welcome.

Re: Shoe Creek, Va Near March 1, 2008

i went back looking and i cant seem to find anything online saying yes or no however this is a link to the ranger offices and you can call them and they will tell you.

George Washington & Jefferson National Forests

not sure of which office it would fall under but i am sure they can tell you.
hope that helps.
