Well I am all booked in the Days Inn Crestview for $64/night including the $10/night puppy charge. At that price I thought it was well worth not freezing on the beach. My puppy has never been camping before so I thought it best to wait for that until I am prepared for the weather conditions etc.

I am bringing a 1/2 Weimaraner- 1/2 Chocolate Lab (Angus, my dog) and his girlfriend, a full Weimaraner (Zoe, my girls dog). Apexbasher has met them before.

Yeah, Duc Hunter's dogs are cool. But I'd imagine they be a handful in a tent. The trip between your place in Crestview and the Tom Thumb rendezvous spot is about 26 miles. Easy day. I'm going out to the beach in a few minutes to dump off a load of decent firewood. It's been raing ALOT today and the trip out there should be a BLAST!

Sis, well not really. I can tolerate it if properly equipped. If you freeze all night at 35 degree's you wont fair any better at 25 degrees and 20mph winds. So my moto is be comfy and enjoy yourself vs. be the alternative and catch triple pneumonia!

Apex, you know our dogs have no fat on them and wont tolerate the cold well.

I will get to break in my new bumper, lights, and hopefully winch.

26 miles! Is Ft Walton or Destin any closer? I was trying to get close, not far.
