Re: 2008-01-06: Truckhaven Run

Darn....my last calculation on another online map was under 3 hours. This one is over 4 hours!

This will require sleeping/camping over there when I go someday.

Here's a map that can help you with camping plans. There are a lot of open spaces and nice camping areas on Anza Borrego for you to consider.

When you open the map, the Truckhaven trails are directly to the right of where the visitor center is located. You can see all the camping places that surround the area.

Hope to see you on this trip, or the next one.
Kal.

Once you get there you'll forget about the distance.

I still have a NATOPS and my pocket checklist... I'll have to bring my flight helmet. I still have my original old school style (the ones that broke your neck on impact) that I used for 4 years before the helo aircrew used before they finally fitted us with the lighter weight fighter jock style.

I hope you can make it out Jeremy... This place doesn't disappoint.

Waterfall was fun indeed. The pics on Truckhaven drove me over the edge, and I had to claw my way into that little corner of Mrs. Komombo's heart where she could not resist my puppy eyes and whimpering any longer (along with showing her Truckhaven photos). I will wait to get there, but the anticipation is burning a hole in my bile duct.
K.

Re: 2008-01-06: Truckhaven Run

The way this thing is growing we might beat the numbers we had on the Otay run. We still don't lnow exactly how many are coming from the HummerX club.
