Isn't it amazing how a bulletin board chat can turn into what sounds like it's going to be a great event. I'm registered for the event and booked in the Comfort Inn.
So how about a caravan from Long Island?
John - Great work!
Et mes amis du nord - tres bien! And my friends from the north - very good!
(I do remember a little high school French.)
Ahmed (Mr. FJCZR ), are you going to this event? I'm trying to get Annie to warm up to this. Maybe I'll get Marissa (2 months old now) behind the wheel he he he Would love to go and caravan with you (and maybe Jackie) and others from Long Island if possible to do this. I'll know soon if I can do this one.
Rich (Ordoman), are you still active with GCLC? Maybe they would like to hear about this. Love to see some 60s, 40s and other Land Cruisers along for this. Might be a great warmup for the Coal Miner Classic in July.
JohnNY and all the crazy Canadians - great initiative and go getting! Kudos to you.
Comfort Inn is pretty decent. Have a discount preset for anyone going to Rausch and they have a continental breakfast included. Not so far as well.
There was a pretty nice bar/restaurant in town, can't remember the name. Beers were cold and the food was great and not so expensive. Ahmed, do you remember the name?? Might be a good place to do a private party, or at least get together on one of the nights.
My fingers are crossed that I can go to this! Been tough lately for me to do much of anything

Hey Gery,
I was wondering when you were going to chime in... good to hear you're keeping an eye on this event and wanna get your brand new Daughter behind the wheel... haha that should be fun!
I'm not sure about this event just yet... I have somethings in the works will def. let you know down the road if I can make it or not... If I do then you're def. on for a Caravan... LongIsland style.

Try to get a ramp and organize a little flex contest.
This is what I was talking about in post 87. Their competition area goes well beyond a little flex contest. I've seen it reserved for other groups where they set up serious off camber routes that need very experienced spotters.

I'm still active. They know about it, there's been some chatter in the mailing list. I'm sure some will attend, I think a few have signed up already. Most waiting to see more details on the web site.
Hopefully I'll see you there, still have to work out my schedule.
I'm also still waiting to see where the event base is before I make any reservations.
