Re: Work Weekend at Harlan, KY Jan. 12th
So much for a work day....it turned into a recovery day.....with two FJs getting in a little bit of a mess on the Grace Trail....
I also managed to rip a CV boot...and it's starting to pop pretty bad...so I see a new passenger side CV in my future...

So, who was there and where did the FJ's get in trouble at? Was it becuz of the downpour the night before?
I hate that the trip ended up with some trouble. I dread the day when something like this happens to me and my ride.

It was right after the first off-camber part of the Grace trail - coming up to the top of the hill - to drop down to that hill climb to Lions Den...
There were three FJs total - Me, Yotachick, and TennesseeSquire....I made it up pretty good....Yotachick had a little trouble and stopped for a second...and when everyone tried to pull back out TennesseeSquire got to sliding towards a tree...and then the recovery started.....and YotaChick and TennesseeSquire both ended up in a pretty bad spot...
Yotachick had a dent on her passenger side door from a stump, and messed up the pass. side rear bumper wing - but that was all of the damage to those two rigs...
I managed to rip a front passenger CV boot @ the differential - so my FJ was a series of pops and cracks getting it home....so it looks like i have a CV replacement in my future

Matt07FJ, Yotachick & me. Chichid65 meet up to us as we were leaving for dinner & joined us back at the hotel.
The rain was a big factor, we were going up Grace Trail.
Note: Outside tempature started getting warmer & the ground started to thaw.
We were saved by a GMC Denali, pics to come.
