Re: Apres Ouray, Moab 2008

Last year I stayed at the River Canyon Lodge and thought it was nice. I'll be staying there again. If you want more ideas on places to stay check on Expidea or other travel web site.

I sure hope we get a consensus on dates. I'm fine with Weds through the weekend, but maybe other folks will be getting in earlier. I think I've got to wait and see when the most friends will be there so we can ride with you all. We aren't going to go to the Summit this year and I can't really take the whole week off. Let's all throw some dates out there so the Rats can figure out when to book a room
I now there will be 5 other rigs coming in with me not sure if all of them will wheel though when we get in to town, 3 of us for sure not sure others are highly likely. But if there is enough interest from others don't worry about us maybe we can hang out on Wednesday with you rats for sure.

It sounds like we can count on 4 or 5 of us then if we go Weds to say, Sat then. Other folks please chime in over the next couple of days and let us all know when you'll be going . I will preliminarily plan on Weds night thru Sat night. At least it's during Moab's slowest time of year. I can wait a week or so for reservations. Jeshua, are you coming out for the Spring Fling too?

I wanted to but the vacation time just isn't there with the 2 weeks I am taking off for Ouray. Was contemplating driving out Friday night hanging out Saturday then driving home Sunday but that would be to much.

If you don't mind the cost, the best place around there is the Red Cliffs Lodge. It's up the Co. River a bit but the drive out of downtown is dramatic and gorgeous and the lodge is first rate. We hardly ever stay in the downtown area anymore.

Re: Apres Ouray, Moab 2008

Yep, time to figure this out. I think the best time would be to do some trails Monday through Weds after the Summit.

Still too early for me to set it in stone but if I can manage it, those dates would make the most sense for me.
