Re: Mojave Road April 5-6

Hey we all learned on the last Mojave Road Expedition....you just gotta bring extra oil(ATF is better, you can use it as oil but you can't use oil as ATF) and 2 spare tires(especially if you are leading)

Re: Mojave Road April 5-6

Woodsman is showing restraint . . . but only because it is such a short "expedition" and the Summit isn't far behind it. Still envious though !

Re: Mojave Road April 5-6

The PM's came in fast and furious this morning and we have 15 rigs signed up with 4 alternates. JESHUA and FJGORDY got a hold of me early on and said they'd be alternates in the event that somebody new to the game wanted a slot. Those slots filled within minutes. HELLUS and LBCAFJ are likewise on stand-by. Since things come up, its normal for people to drop out for a variety of reasons. Keep your powder dry and I'll keep the alternates on the PM list for the run.

The last run was great. This one has promise of being even better because we have some side trips planned and we're going to some cool off-the-beaten-path (not on the Mojave Road Guide) places that are not widely known. The Mojave Road is full of history and rarely seen/visited places that you just have to know about to get to. The desert will unveil a few more secrets on this run. There is also the possibility of more goodies in the run bag because of some sponsors!

FYI, if you book now, a room at the Avi with 2 queen beds is only about $70 for the night of April 4th.

Although I would love to go I would also hate to take someone elses place because it is such a great run and Larry is such a great guide it truly makes for a once in a lifetime experience......
